High Value PG

Derrick Rose, NY vs SA ($5900): Rose has been up and down since his return from injury last Saturday, with an 11.3 fantasy points effort followed by a strong 39.4 then finally 23.6 fantasy points on Friday against the Nuggets. Rose nominally was the point guard, but really played more two in that last game with Brandon Jennings taking over primary distribution and cutting into his assist opportunities. On Sunday he faces a Spurs defense that has allowed the fourth-fewest fantasy points to point guards, but the ninth-most to shootings guards. **

Darren Collison, SAC vs NO ($5400): Collison turned in his second-straight strong scoring game, this time with DeMarcus Cousins in the line-up, scoring 22 points with four assists, three boards and two steals in 44 minutes against the Hawks on Friday. The Kings have needed a second option to step up with Rudy Gay out, and Collison may finally be doing so. On Sunday he faces a Pelicans defense that has allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to point guards this season. ****

Brandon Jennings, NY vs SA ($5100): Jennings moved into the starting line-up on Friday as the Knicks went smaller, shifting Kristaps Porzingis to center. Nominally Jennings was the shooting guard, but he led the team with 13 assists while seemingly in more of a floor general role than Derrick Rose. Jennings has been strong all season when given starter minutes, as evidenced again by his production last week when Rose was out (16.6 points, 7.2 assists, 3.8 boards and 2.6 steals in 41.4 minutes). If he does stay in the line-up on Sunday, he’ll be facing a Spurs defense that has allowed the fourth-fewest fantasy points to point guards, but the ninth-most to shootings guards. **
