Nintendo has officially announced an expansion pass for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It will release in two parts this year.

We’re about three weeks away from the release of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Almost every day, new information is revealed about the game. On Tuesday, an expansion pass was officially announced by Nintendo.

In a video release by the company, we see all the details about the expansion pass. For example, the first part will launch this Summer. It will include a new Cave of Trials challenge, a new hard mode, and a new feature for the in-game map.

But, this isn’t the only DLC to look forward to. Nintendo also plans to release more content in the holidays. The second content pack adds different and new challenges, like a new dungeon and an all new original story.

This is very interesting, to say the least. It seems like Nintendo is jumping on the paid DLC train. They’ve done it before with extra content on Mario Kart 8, but we didn’t expect them to do it with Breath of the Wild.

Some fans don’t seem very content with this, but we don’t see a problem. For a cheap price of $19.99, this is actually a great idea. The complaints are about the hard mode since most games already have it built in.

But, they need to calm down. We’re sure that Breath of the Wild will have loads of content. By the time the new content is released in the Summer or maybe even in the holidays, we probably still haven’t done everything there is to be done in the game.

This is great news for Zelda fans and we can’t wait to see how it turns out.
