DeMarcus Cousins

Center,

DeMarcus Cousins has been playing his NBA career practically by himself. He’s never had a real star around him. For being the best center in the NBA, the Sacramento Kings have done a terrible job giving him any sort of help.

The Kings are likely signing Cousins to an enormous new contract this summer but being active at the deadline could help make that meaningful. There isn’t a player on this team they shouldn’t be willing to trade other that Boogie. If they ever want to truly move forward, they need to make moves now.

Darren Collison and almost everyone else on this team are known to be available at the right price. If the Kings get anyone significant before the trade deadline, Boogie is happy. He needs a lot of help. The Kings need to do anything they can to get the ball rolling on this rebuild. With Cousins in his prime, they’re quickly running out of time with the big man. Starting hot will be the first move in them building a healthy relationship with him and his future.

As long as the Kings do something by Saturday, Cousins takes a big step forward in his and Sacramento’s success.
