Oregon Ducks

Last week: 22-4 (11-2 Pac-12)
Last rank: 1

The back and forth struggle between Arizona and Oregon reaches another week and at this point, I don’t see it stopping any time soon. Oregon’s spit out in Los Angeles knocks the Ducks down to the No. 2 spot in the power rankings this week. Oregon for their benefit won’t see the Bruins or Wildcats till the conference tournament so they will need some help in grabbing the conference’s regular season title. The Ducks schedule is highly favorable so just in case the Wildcats or Bruins slip up, Oregon is right there to snatch the title from them.

Arizona Wildcats

Last week: 23-3 (12-1 Pac-12)
Last rank: 2

Arizona is at the top of the mountain once again in this week’s power rankings. For how long, remains the big mystery. With two games against Washington and Washington State coming up, the Wildcats have a chance to stretch their lead in the conference to a few extra games. After that, they face a very tall task as they will face USC, UCLA and Arizona State to end the season.

If the Wildcats can finish that out unscathed, it’s very possible they walk into the Pac-12 Tournament with a chance to not only win the conference title but grab a No.1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. A very big but winnable stretch awaits the Wildcats.
