Dalvin Cook

RB, Florida State

Frank Gore has put together an incredible NFL career, even if it may be coming to an end. While Gore can certainly still run the ball effectively, the Indianapolis Colts have to be thinking about the future at that position. The 2017 NFL Draft has some very good running back prospects in it, and none may be better than Florida State’s Dalvin Cook.

During Cook’s time with the Seminoles, he was one of the more feared backs in the ACC. Cook had a record-breaking career in Tallahassee, shattering most of Warrick Dunn’s records along the way. The Colts play in a very winnable division in the AFC South, and adding Cook would give them the kind of weapon behind Andrew Luck that they have been lacking.

Luck is a fantastic quarterback, but you have to think the organization is wasting some of his prime years. He has a terrible offensive line in front of him, and usually spends most Sundays running for his life. The addition of Cook would give defenses another weapon to key on, and would do wonders for Luck and the wide receivers in the passing game. T.Y. Hilton is one of the better receivers in the division, and with the production the team got from the tight end spot last season, Cook could be the missing link to bringing the Colts back to the top of the AFC South.
