Corey Davis

WR, Western Michigan

Marcus Mariota emerged as a star for the Tennessee Titans in 2016, nearly leading the team to the playoffs in his second season as the team’s starting quarterback. The Titans eventually would lose to the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 16, with Mariota breaking his leg in the loss that would end their chances at a playoff berth. They should be viewed as a team to beat in the AFC South next season, and two first round picks is going to go a long way in helping them bolster their roster.

While players like Rishard Matthews and Tajae Sharpe played very well at the wide receiver position last season, this team needs a true WR1 going forward. Mariota is never going to reach his full potential unless they can bring in some elite talent at the position. Corey Davis of Western Michigan is considered one of the best wide receivers in this class, and he would be perfect for the Titans if they can get him at No. 18.

Davis has tremendous big play ability, and his skill set is going to equate perfectly to the NFL game. Not only can he beat you deep, but he is not afraid to go over the middle, and he also possesses some of the best hands in this draft. The Titans are very close to being a playoff team, and by the time the 2017 NFL season comes to a close, Mariota may be making his first playoff appearance as the team’s starting quarterback.
