Marshon Lattimore

CB, Ohio State

The Tennessee Titans are in a nice spot as they head into the offseason, as they have seen their 2015 first round draft pick blossom into one of the best young quarterbacks in the league. Marcus Mariota has brought the Titans franchise back from the dead, and had he not broke his leg in Week 16 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, they might have made the playoffs. They will pick twice in the first round in April, giving them two more opportunities to bolster their roster.

Their first pick is from the Los Angeles Rams, who traded with the Titans for the first overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. That pick was used on Jared Goff, who barely did much of anything for the Rams this past season. At No. 5, the Titans will likely look to add to their secondary, and Marshon Lattimore of Ohio State may be the best cornerback in this draft.

Lattimore has the ability to shut down one side of the field, and the Titans could definitely use more cornerback depth behind Jason McCourty. As a starter for the Ohio State Buckeyes, Lattimore was an anchor on one of the best defenses in the country, and has the physical abilities to be a CB1 at the next level. The Titans play in a pass-happy division, and if they can improve their secondary, they just may be the top dog in the AFC South next season.
