Latavius Murray

RB, Oakland Raiders

To watch the Denver Broncos play last year was to see that they really could not get anything going in the run game. While the offensive line was a weak spot, the team just had no answer when C.J. Anderson was gone for the year. They tried to insert Devontae Booker as the starting running back, but the rookie failed to produce on a consistent basis.

Moving forward, the Broncos need to shore up that position, as their is going to be uncertainty at the quarterback spot next year. Head coach Vance Joseph has yet to decide who is going to be under center for the team, which places even more emphasis on the team being able to run the ball with consistency. Latavius Murray of the Oakland Raiders is a proven back in the NFL, and he just may be coming to the end of the line with the team that drafted him out of Central Florida.

Murray can carry the load, and the Broncos need somebody who is battle tested. While he did not rush for a ton of yards last season, he did score 12 touchdowns, and was coming off a Pro Bowl season in 2015. C.J. Anderson’s health is going to be a question mark coming into camp, so bringing in a solid running back will be key for the Broncos, who have enough talent on the roster to really improve over last season.
