2. Tennessee Titans

If there were ever a defense for Timmons to fit into, it would be the Titans. Dick LeBeau, the Titans defensive coordinator was a former Steelers defensive coordinator. He was the coordinator when the Steelers drafted Timmons and spent eight seasons coaching Timmons.

Since LeBeau signed on with the Titans, they have added a few Steelers to the defense. Al Woods, Brice McCain, and Antwon Blake are low-end guys, but guys who followed LeBeau nonetheless. This would be the big name that finally comes over from Pittsburgh and fits a big need in the defense.

Avery Williamson and Wesley Woodyard would be back, but neither are necessarily good options. They could both rotate with Timmons, and the Titans could take Timmons off of the field with capable options during obvious deep passing downs.

With Marcus Mariota being on a rookie contract, the Titans will have big money to spend in the next few seasons. They could give Timmons a decent payday, and with a young up and coming roster, Timmons could help them make a deep playoff run in the next two seasons. A familiar coach, a bigger payday than he will likely see anywhere else, plus a chance to compete for a Lombardi would certainly be enough to entice Timmons to make the move to Tennessee.
