Riley Reiff

OT, Detroit Lions

One major concern in San Diego has to be the play of their offensive line, which has basically been pieced together throughout the years. The bottom line is that Philip Rivers is not getting any younger, and you have to wonder how much longer he can take such punishment. He does have an incredibly quick release, but the hits have to be stacking up at this point.

Riley Reiff is a very good offensive tackle, who helped pave the way for Matthew Stafford to have a career-year in 2016. He would be a nice change of pace for the Chargers, who seem to trot out left tackles whose feet appear to be in concrete. This Chargers team has some dangerous weapons on offense, but things cannot develop if Rivers is continuously being pressured as soon as he hikes the ball.

Reiff is going to come with a hefty price tag, as he made over $8 million dollars last season. The Lions have a pretty good thing going in Detroit, so they may make the move to lock him up under the franchise tag. Still, you have to believe that the Chargers are going to make a big push for help on the offensive line this offseason, and Reiff is arguably the best option out there at offensive tackle.
