2017 NFL Mock Draft: Clemson stars dominate
By Brad Weiss
The Tennessee Titans are going to be a fun team to watch over the next few years, possessing some of the best young talent in football. The Titans had a breakout season in 2016, nearly making the playoffs. In fact, had Marcus Mariota not broken his leg in the team’s Week 16 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, they may have actually caught up to the Houston Texans in the AFC South.
Still, they head into the 2017 offseason with huge expectations, and a healthy Mariota should have the team fighting for a playoff spot once again. The Titans pick twice in the first round thanks to the trade they made with the Los Angeles Rams prior to the 2016 NFL Draft, and they will likely go offense early. At No. 18, the Titans may actually trade this pick, but if they keep it, expect them to make some improvements in their secondary.
Marlon Humphrey is definitely one of the best cornerback prospects in this draft, and he would team well with Jason McCourty at the position next season. Humphrey is a winner, and showed during his time with the Alabama Crimson Tide that he can take away one half of the field. The son of a former NFL running back, Humphrey knows what it takes to make it at the next level, and all signs indicate that he is going to be one heck of a pro.
