2017 NFL Mock Draft: Clemson stars dominate
By Brad Weiss
It was a fantastic season for the Atlanta Falcons, who made it all the way to Super Bowl LI in Houston, Texas. The offense was a juggernaut throughout the year, as Matt Ryan went on to win his first NFL MVP Award. With offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan gone to San Francisco as their new head coach, the Falcons will have a different look this season, but all the weapons are in place for them to make another run.
While the Falcons are set at most of their skill positions on offense, they could use some help at tight end. David Njoku from Miami is an interesting prospect, possessing the kind of game-changing ability that teams need at the position nowadays. If the Falcons see him available this late in round one, they should look to make the pick to bolster one of their few weaknesses on offense.
As we saw with the Carolina Panthers last season, getting back to the Super Bowl in the NFC can be very tough. Still, the Falcons have one of the best quarterbacks in the league, and if they can get better on defense, they should be right back in the thick of things. Njoku can make plays happen, and would fit in perfectly in a Falcons offense that likes to score in bunches.
