2017 NFL Mock Draft: Clemson stars dominate

The New York Jets were expected to do some great things this past season. Coming off an 11-win season the year before, the Jets had all their veterans back, and added a veteran running back in Matt Forte. However, their season was an absolute nightmare, and thanks to that, they will be picking at No. 6 come April. They need help all over the roster, so whatever path they choose should make them a much better team in 2017.
While Darrelle Revis was once considered the best cornerback in football, those times are long gone. In fact, Revis has been in the news more for his antics off the field, which includes an arrest on five charges this month. Revis is facing a charge of four felonies, and one misdemeanor, which could possibly mean that he has played his last game with the Jets. He has been declining for the past few years, and the time has come for them to bring in his replacement.
Marshon Lattimore is a very good looking prospect, who would be a shutdown cornerback at the next level. He has the kind of skill set that you do not normally see, and the Jets need someone who is going to take away one side of the field like Revis used to do back in his heyday. One player is not going to make the Jets a playoff team, but the NFL is a pass-happy league, which means you have to have a strong secondary or you are toast.
