Los Angeles Clippers

Sending out: Jamal Crawford (NOP), Wesley Johnson (DET), 2019 first round pick (LAL)

Bringing in: Tyler Zeller (BOS), Wilson Chandler (DEN)

Fixing the hole on the wing is the biggest barrier between the Los Angeles Clippers and a long-shot run to the title. They are still a long shot to get past the Warriors and Spurs, but finding a solution there probably brings them closer to a title than trading Blake Griffin.

This deal ships out a future first, a busted wing (Johnson), and Crawford who is somehow offense-only and not-that-good-on-offense. Austin Rivers can swallow Crawford’s minutes with a small dash of Raymond Felton. In exchange, the Clippers get Chandler — a good defender who can play big in small ball lineups and space the floor. Zeller isn’t a necessity but he could be useful and offers a nice potential upgrade over Mo Speights.

Sometimes you just have to roll the dice.
