Oklahoma City

Sending out: Alex Abrines (MIL), Domantas Sabonis (NYK)

Bringing in: Thad Young (IND)

The Oklahoma City Thunder are somewhat handicapped by their current team construction. If everything is going to revolve around Russell Westbrook, then it’s important that the pieces complement his style. Sabonis and his potential are exciting but there is some duplication in his offensive skills and defensive limitations with Enes Kanter and Steven Adams.

Young gives Westbrook another race horse to run the break with and a small ball power forward he can help give the Thunder different looks against certain matchups. He’s a better version of Jerami Grant and his slashing and cutting should work well around Westbrook and Oladipo. It would be nice if he could shoot too, but here we are.
