Orlando Magic

Sending out: Nikola Vucevic (NYK), Mario Hezonja (NYK), Jeff Green (BRK), 2017 first round pick (TOR to LAL), 2017 second round pick (PHX)

Bringing in: Goran Dragic (MIA), Brookl Lopez (BRK)

The Orlando Magic have had a hard time the past few seasons balancing the development of their young core with a push to stay competitive and make the playoffs. Here is a deal that helps them accomplish both.

For the cost of Vucevic (who has been marginalized), Hezonja (who has fallen out of the rotation), Green (who is Jeff Green), and a pair of draft picks, the Magic pick up two of the most talented players on the market. Lopez and Dragic are both having strong years and should be enough to push the Magic back into the playoffs (if not this year, than next year). The pairing also works nicely because it allows Aaron Gordon to go back to power forward and Elfrid Payton to move to the bench and learn from the savvy of Dragic. In addition, the Magic keep their own first pick for this year which allows them to add another lottery talent.

Best of both worlds?
