Philadelphia 76ers

Sending out: Dario Saric (UTA), Sergio Rodriguez (MIA), Nik Stauskas (MIN), 2019 first round pick (Brooklyn), 2018 second round pick (BRK)

Bringing in: CJ McCollum

This deal digs deep into the 76ers collection of processed assets but, man, the return. Of the assets going out, the picks hurt but the 76ers are theoretically out of the lottery in two years anyway. Dario Saric has played well lately but it seems likely the team will keep Nerlens Noel and with Ben Simmons coming back soon, Saric is less important.

In exchange for giving up on his potential, the 76ers get one of the best young shooting guards in the game. McCollum can put up points in a hurry and is capable of acting as a complementary ball-handler as well. His defense is not great, but that’s less of a problem with Noel and Embiid to cover up behind him. In addition, the 76ers don’t give up their own pick this year or the potential Lakers pick which means they should still have an excellent shot at grabbing Lonzo Ball or Markelle Fultz to be their point guard of the future.
