2. Cornerback

Even worse than safety is the depth and talent at the cornerback position. Jason McCourty is signed on and is the most talented defensive asset in the secondary, but last season was certainly a down year. He is only signed on until 2018. It is likely that by point, he will not be the guy the Titans want to defend number one receivers.

Aside from McCourty most their cornerback snaps went to Brice McCain, Antwon Blake, LeShaun Sims. McCain has been around the league forever and has never been better than a depth option, and Blake is a former special team cast off from the Steelers. Blake is a free agent, and the hope is that his roster spot can go to a much more talented player, and can push McCain down the ladder of the depth chart.

With either of their two first round picks they may be looking at cornerback. Cornerback may also be a position that the Titans look to double dip on in the draft, especially if they end up spending their free agent money on nose tackle and safety. Mo Claiborne, Trumaine Johnson, and A.J. Bouye are some of the higher name cornerback options in free agency, but of all of their needs, this feels like the one that needs to be hit early and often in the draft.
