1. Wide Receiver

It is time to give Marcus Mariota the dynamic receiver that he needs. Rishard Matthews is nice, but he is a depth player who has big time ups, to go with some ugly lows. He should be a secondary receiving option, and right now is the only real receiving option on the team.

Harry Douglas and Tajae Sharpe are the only other wideouts currently signed to the team. Sharpe was a mid round pick last year and was a camp standout. He was a major target for Mariota last season but did not take advantage, and showed without a dynamic athletic ability that he is a second receiver at best. Douglas is the definition of just a guy and could be cut so that the team can add more talent in other areas.

Alshon Jeffery or Terrelle Pryor would be perfect fits for Tennessee and would give Mariota the big time playmaker receiver with size that he has yet to have in his NFL career. It is also why many have linked Mike Williams, a receiver from Clemson to the Titans with the fifth overall pick. Williams has some upside, but with the needs in the secondary, the fifth overall pick may be a touch too rich.

If Williams or Corey Davis were to fall to 18, they would be a great fit for the offense. However, their best bet may be to swing for the fences with the big receivers or to find some help later in the draft if those two are gone. Either way, they need to add multiple wide receivers this offseason, and should do it in both free agency and the draft.
