High Value PG

D’Angelo Russell ($5700) & Jordan Clarkson ($4400), LAL at OKC: A lot of production just opened up in the Lakers backcourt this week, with leading scorer Lou Williams traded to the Rockets. Russell and Clarkson both have untapped scoring potential, and with added responsibility they (along with Nick Young) all could outperform their price tags against a Thunder defense that has allowed the ninth-most fantasy points to point guards this season. ***

Jameer Nelson, DEN vs BKN ($5600): Nelson has been money since moving into the starting line-up to replace an injured Emmanuel Mudiay, and the Nuggets decided to stick with him even with Mudiay back. Mudiay received a DNP-CD on Thursday night, with Nelson scoring 12 points with six assists, four rebounds and five steals over 29 minutes against the Kings. Over his last five games he is averaging 15.8 points, 8.8 assists, 5.4 boards and 1.4 steals. While he is a veteran on the second half of a back-to-back, he has the match-up of the night against a Nets defense that has allowed the most fantasy points to opposing point guards all season. ****

Yogi Ferrell, DAL at MIN ($5500): Ferrell won the full-time starting point guard gif for the Mavericks, outlasting Deron Williams who was cut on Thursday. Ferrell averaged 17.8 points, 4.0 assists, 2.8 boards and 1.6 steals in his first five starts while Williams was injured, and that is probably a reasonable projection for his level of output moving forward as the starter. On Friday he faces an average Timberwolves point guard defense that has allowed the 15th-most fantasy points to the position this season. ***
