2. Tight End

The Giants were not getting production out of the tight end position as it was. Now, they enter an offseason where both Will Tye and Larry Donnell are free agents. It leaves just Jerell Adams as the only name signed, and that leaves major questions at the tight end position.

The Giants may want to explore all areas in order to solve this issue. In free agency, Jack Doyle, Jared Cook, and Martellus Bennett would be the names to look for. Of course, Bennett has some history with the team, but nonetheless, he would serve as a great addition.

However, what will be the most interesting is how and when the Giants look to address this position in the draft. It is a loaded class of tight ends and depending on how the chips fall, they could be looking at this position very early, or somewhat later.

If O.J.Howard or David Njoku are to fall to their pick in the first round, it would almost be shocking to see the Giants pass on either name. However, early indications are that both names may be gone.

Still, Bucky Hodges, Jordan Leggett, Evan Engram, and more would likely be there for a chance to be taken in round two. They could also look deeper, and take Jake Butt in the middle rounds. Butt has round one talent, but a late season injury will likely have him on the sideline to start the season. Still, the Giants could re-sign one of their guys on a cheap deal, or pick up a lower end free agent option to slowly progress Butt along.
