2. The Washington Wizards

The Wizards have been the team to watch in 2017.

The team is playing excellent basketball after a rough early start. With the elevated game of Otto Porter and John Wall, the team seems to be on another level. They were even able to compete with the Cleveland Cavaliers in a tough game on Feb. 6 that ended in overtime with the Cavs winning 135-140. That game proved a very important fact to all of the fans, analysts, and teams in the league.

The Wizards are here to play with the big dogs.

One problem that the Wizards haven’t used their magic to fix yet, is the backup point guard. Right now, the Wizards are using the draft-bust Trey Burke, who has not lived up to the hype that was bestowed upon him.

Burke is a viable option as a “garbage time” guy, but a coach cannot rely on Burke in the playoffs to keep the offense purring while Wall sits on the bench. That is where Williams comes into play. Williams can come in and fill the hole in Washington’s lineup. Williams has proven that he can still ball, and the Wizard ought to give him a shot. Anything’s better than Trey Burke.
