Myles Garrett

Defensive End, Texas A&M Aggies

Who are we kidding? The 2017 NFL Scouting Combine will be about one guy: Texas A&M Aggies defensive end Myles Garrett. Most people project that Garrett will be the consensus No. 1 pick by the Cleveland Browns in the 2017 NFL Draft.

Though he doesn’t come in with the absurd amount of hype of a Jadeveon Clowney before the 2014 NFL Draft, Garrett may prove to be the productive player in his first couple of years in the NFL. Garrett absolutely embarrassed people as the best pass rusher in the SEC.

His first step is so quick and his motor could make him a perennial Pro Bowler at the next level. He learned from a great defensive coordinator in John Chavis at College Station. If Browns defensive coordinator Gregg Williams has his way, which he should, Garrett is the logical pick at No. 1 this spring.

Expect Garrett to be a darling at this year’s combine. He’s not going to hurt his draft stock, barring injury. This upcoming week is all about Garrett getting to know the rest of the league in case the dysfunctional Browns decide to pick somebody else at No. 1 or trade the pick away.
