2017 NFL Combine: 10 Players to Watch
By John Buhler
The 2017 Reese’s Senior Bowl was a great event that allowed many players to elevate their draft stock thanks to a strong showing in Mobile. One player that really helped himself that weekend was Texas A&M Aggies wide receiver Josh Reynolds.
Admittedly, his route-running was a bit debonair, but he always had a good feel for where the ball was going to go. As it was the problem with him in college, he didn’t always make the catch. Overall, Reynolds has the potential to be a good No. 2 receiver at the next level.
While he’s not going to go in the first round, Reynolds could be a steal in day two of the NFL Draft if he lands with the right offensive staff. He has raw talent, but may be too inconsistent for some teams to reach on him in the earlier rounds.
The Senior Bowl was good for Reynolds, but if he goes bonkers at the combine, we’re looking at a Chris Conley type of leap of some NFL Draft boards. Reynolds’ skill set better translates to the NFL over Conley’s, now with the Kansas City Chiefs. All the scouting combine can do for Reynolds is improve his draft stock.
