1. Cornerbacks

As you’re reading this, the Green Bay Packers secondary has just given up another touchdown to the Atlanta Falcons. Matt Ryan carved about their secondary and outright embarrassed it. The injury to Sam Shields showed how thin their depth is.

Logan Ryan of the Patriots would be a great target for them. He’s very solid in coverage and Pro Football Focus has him as the fourth best corner available. The three above him will most likely get a franchise tag.

"One thing that plays into his favor is that he has just two missed tackles in coverage over the last two regular seasons. Everyone above him on the list has very little slot cornerback experience, but Ryan saw the 12th-most coverage snaps in the slot for cornerbacks last year."

Getting him would fix their slot corner issues. However, they still need a top corner. Expect the Green Bay Packers to target one of those in the draft. Even if they do, they could also grab someone like Morris Claiborne, who excels in press coverage, could be an option, albeit a risky one.

The Packers aren’t usually a team to get involved in free agency, but they have to get fix their secondary problems. If they don’t, they’re wasting another season of Rodgers in his prime.
