NFL Combine 2017: 10 biggest storylines
4. Teams that will generate the most buzz from combine.
The draft usually takes a turn into craziness during a few spots in the first round. All of that process really starts at the combine. Here’s a list of teams that I think could cause that craziness and I give reasons as to why it could happen.
San Francisco: New management and coaching staff by the bay, also in dire need of a franchise QB, if they don’t draft one early then they will have wasted time in Indy.
Chicago: Needs a quarterback but defense is lacking big time, especially up front. So many directions they need to go.
San Diego: New head coach and like Chicago, they need a QB for the future but need to beef up a dreadful secondary.
There’s a lot more but if you want early craziness in the draft, these are the three teams that I think could tip the draft on it’s ear.
3. Adoree Jackson will steal the show at the combine
I may not be breaking any ground here but the point needs to be made. Jackson along with Dalvin Cook and along with a select few are the class of the draft. But the best pure athlete in my opinion is USC’s Jackson.
While some of the jumping drills he will go through will showcase his athleticism, what I’m looking forward to is his long awaited 40 yard dash time. I’ve got a feeling he will have the fastest time in the combine.
2. Michigan vs. The South
Jim Harbaugh has unofficially waged war on the SEC and schools below the Mason-Dixon line period. While that is nothing new, it’s going to be a very interesting storyline to watch during the combine. How do Michigan’s best pro prospects do against the likes of Clemson, Florida State and Alabama. With Nick Saban currently holding the crown as the king of the “NFL factory” expect his league-bound ‘Bama boys to get high marks and create another Crimson Tide filled first round.
1. Will Rich Eisen run a sub 5.80 40-time?
Yes, this is a very important topic when it comes to the NFL combine. Rich Eisen takes his shot at the 40-yard dash before the combine comes to a close and this year he’s enlisting those on social media to help him out.

For ever #RunRichRun that is tweeted, money will go to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. I plan on using it each day of the combine and I hope you do too. Now, about Rich’s 40-time? I think we’ll see him run just a shade under 5.8 which will be better than his time of 5.94 back in 2016.
