3. New York Jets

If any team needs a tight end this offseason, it is the New York Jets. No team in the NFL got less production out of the tight end position. Looking at their roster, there is really nothing to like moving forward either. Austin Seferian-Jenkins is a free agent, and while he is mostly a bust, aside from him, Braedon Bowman is the only player to see real snaps at the position.

Quincy Enunwa is essentially a move tight end, so he eases the pain, but need the dual threat who can play on the line and block. They have a poor tackle situation, and the use of chip blocks, and keeping a guy in to block on occasions is missing from their play book. These are key parts of Doyle’s game that had him seeing the field in the first place.

Doyle can also spread out wide, find spots in the zone, and can be a threat over the middle and after the catch. Doyle brings a little bit of everything to the play book, and he would make the Jets offense very diverse. Adding Doyle would make the need to draft a tight end much less of a priority and they can focus elsewhere as they try to build an offense for whoever their quarterback will be.
