Oakland Raiders

AFC West,

The Oakland Raiders and Kansas City Chiefs battled it out for 17 weeks to see who would take home the AFC West title, and in the end, the Chiefs were one game better than the Raiders. By winning the AFC West, the Chiefs locked up the No. 2 spot in the AFC Playoffs, though they would lose their Divisional Round game to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Next season, both teams may  be without their running backs from last season, though one may change sides.

Jamaal Charles has played in the AFC West his entire career, and knows how to get the job done within the division. While the Chiefs and Raiders are hated rivals, the Silver and Black did nab Sean Smith from Kansas City during the 2016 offseason. There Raiders may say goodbye to Latavius Murray this offseason, clearing the way for them to bring in a free agent at the position to take over the reigns.

Charles would be a nice fit in Oakland because he could do so many things within the Raiders offense. Derek Carr likes to check down to his running backs, and Charles is a master at making things happen in the passing game out of the backfield. Oakland is definitely a pass-first team at this point, but bringing in a running back who can be dynamic in the passing game may be a game-changer for them heading into next season.
