Marlon Humphrey

CB, Alabama

The New Orleans Saints have not had a winning season since 2013, when they went 11-5 and lost in the Divisional Round to the Seattle Seahawks. Since then, the team has gone 7-9 in each of the past three seasons, and head coach Sean Payton is definitely on the hot seat. The Saints just cannot seem to stop anybody on defense, so this April, they have to spend their top pick on an impact player in the secondary.

Marlon Humphrey is a good looking cornerback prospect from Alabama, who is the son of a former NFL running back. Not only can Humphrey shut down one side of the field, but he also plays with the kind of tenacity you need at the cornerback position. New Orleans plays against some of the best quarterbacks in the league on nearly a weekly basis, so bringing in depth in the defensive secondary has to be the priority this offseason.

Playing in the NFC South, the Saints play Matt Ryan, Cam Newton, and Jameis Winston twice per season. With Drew Brees at quarterback, the Saints can put up points in bunches, but the frustration of not being able to stop anybody has to be weighing on the offense. New Orleans does have some nice pieces in place on the defensive front, but the holes in teh secondary are just too big to overcome at this point.
