Jabrill Peppers

S, Michigan

There is no doubt that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are very close to being a perennial playoff team. Armed with one of the better young quarterbacks in the NFC, the Bucs took a huge step forward last season, and are on the brink of returning to the postseason for the first time since 2005. The team has a serious need in the defensive secondary, and should definitely look to draft a safety with the No. 19 overall pick.

Jabrill Peppers went into the NFL Scouting Combine with plenty of eyes on him. A do-everything player for the Michigan Wolverines, Peppers was making a permanent switch to safety for the NFL. He did not disappoint, running a blazing 40-yard dash, while proving to the scouts that he has the correct footwork to be a defensive back at the next level.

Peppers brings a lot to the plate, and was recently given the Paul Hornung Award, which is given to the most versatile player in college football. The former linebacker played offense, returned kicks, and was a standout on defense, which reminds some of a young Charles Woodson. Peppers may not have the kind of career Woodson had, but he will certainly be a player to watch during his first season in the NFL in 2017.
