Christian McCaffrey

RB, Stanford

Few players had a better scouting combine than Christian McCaffrey, who cemented his place in the first round. Not only did McCaffrey run extremely well in the 40-yard dash, but he also showed great agility in the drills. He is going to be an impact player at the next level, and the Green Bay Packers could certainly use the help in their backfield.

McCaffrey was one of the best collegiate players in recent memory over the past two seasons, as he led the Stanford Cardinal offense in record breaking fashion. His versatile playing ability will play well in Green Bay, where the running back position has been a turnstile in recent years. The Packers need a player who is going to take some of the pressure off of Aaron Rodgers, and McCaffrey will be that kind of player a the next level.

Green Bay had a magical season in 2016, coming back from a 4-6 record to win the NFC North. The team ran out of steam in the NFC Championship Game, mostly due to the fact that Rodgers had to throw the ball on nearly every play. There has been some discussion about bringing back Eddie Lacy to team with Ty Montgomery in the backfield, but you have to think McCaffrey is a much better option for the team at this point.
