Third Round

96

Montravius Adams

Defensive Tackle, Auburn Tigers

New England is the best at pro scouting in the NFL. The Patriots know other teams’ players better than some front offices. While the Patriots do miss in the NFL Draft, head coach/general manager Bill Belichick is great at finding talent in his front-seven.

Auburn Tigers defensive tackle Montravius Adams offers a ton of upside, but has never really been a consistent player. Belichick could be getting a first-round talent at the end of the third round if he can harness all of Adams’ power on the defensive interior.

103

Carlos Henderson

Wide Receiver, Lousiana Tech Bulldogs

New England has had a terrible track record of draft wide receivers. The Patriots seem to have found something good in the middle rounds from last year’s draft in Malcolm Mitchell out of Georgia. Perhaps the Patriots could look for another young wideout in the middle rounds again this year?

Louisiana Tech Bulldogs wide receiver Carlos Henderson could go as high as a late second-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. If he is still around during the supplemental part of the third round, look for New England to draft someone like him to help replenish their receiving corps.
