Ted Ginn Jr.: Agrees with New Orleans Saints
Soon 32 years old, the best of Ginn’s career is behind him. While he still offers something as a secondary weapon on offense, most of his value lies in the return game. With rumors swirling that the Saints might move on from Brandin Cooks, this deal makes sense.
Ultimately, New Orleans must address its defense, or continue to face years of disappointment. General manager Mickey Loomis is already dealing in the early stages of free agency, and judging by his history, he’s far from done.
Grade: B-
Andrew Whitworth: Agrees with Los Angeles Rams
While I panned the move to sign Woods, Snead did a nice job to lock up blindside protection for Goff. Whitworth is aging at 35 years old, but he’s a quality tackle who should give the Rams some stability on the line.
Los Angeles paid a fair price for Whitworth at three years and $36 million. Looking at the details, it appears the Rams can get out in two years if things don’t work out. Whitworth was the best tackle on the market, and Snead was able to sign him.
