Tre'Davious White

Cornerback, Louisiana State University

Here’s where the Baltimore Ravens should address their secondary. This pick requires some things to go their way, but it’s not outlandish to think Tre’Davious White could fall to them in the second round. His injury likely kicks him out of the first round. If White falls to the Ravens, they could have the steal of the draft.

Pro Football Focus grades him quite highly, noting his excellence in coverage. He’s a bit small, which likely causes him to fall a bit. However, White can cover just about anyone he’s asked to cover. He’s very athletic for his size and shut down some darn good receivers in college.

An added bonus is White’s special team value. The Baltimore Ravens have had a terrible return game ever since getting rid of Jacoby Jones. White has the potential to be a huge impact player as a returner thanks to his speed and quickness.

His lack of size might keep him from being a true shutdown corner. But even if all White can do is shutdown slot receivers, that’s extremely valuable. In today’s game, three receiver sets are quickly becoming the norm. Slot receivers are shifty and hard to cover. White has proven he can take those guys out of the game.

Even if White isn’t available, fellow corner Gareon Conley from Ohio State could be a very nice consolation prize.
