Kyle Fuller

Center, Baylor

The Baltimore Ravens could use some help at center. Jeremy Zuttah is a Pro Bowler, but you wouldn’t know it from the way he played. The Ravens might decide to cut ties with him, leaving them with a huge vacancy at center. Even if they keep him, their center depth past Zuttah is shallow. Fuller should be taken here by the Ravens.

He’s a bit of a project because he’s so raw. Fuller has impressive strength and has deceptively good footwork, but likely needs to develop for about a year. Serving one season as the backup could be very useful for Fuller’s career.

Considering his high football IQ, he might be able to be a decent starter in his first year. But being a rookie center is extremely difficult. You’re pretty much second in command for the offense, trailing only the quarterback. Fuller isn’t a great blocker, but he can provide help for the guards.

Should the Baltimore Ravens cut ties with Zuttah, they’d be wise to draft someone and add someone like Nick Mangold to the team in free agency. It’s hard to project precisely where Fuller will go, but the fourth round seems very reasonable for a center like him.
