During March Madness, the term “catching fire” is used a lot right now. The greatest tournament in the world lives in College Basketball, and without total team chemistry and great coaches to calm down young players, it’s easy to get bounced earlier when you’re playing for your life.

Today we’re going to break down some of the hottest teams in the Country heading into the big dance. All I can say is that I can’t wait for all the March Madness!

Honorable mentions:

Duke – Coach K is showing people exactly why he’s not to be doubted. Even with the plethora of injuries his team has faced, Krzyzewski has turned this in to one of the hottest teams in the nation right now. We’ll see if their momentum continues.

Kentucky – Another great coach you can’t doubt in March, John Calipari has been running through the SEC recently. His team is firing on all cylinders. Also, Malik Monk is one of the best players dancing this March, he alone has the ability to single-handedly take over a game.

I don’t want to bore you with already great teams, but this next squad should be talked about as well…

March Madness: Arizona Wildcats

Arizona has lost two of their last twenty-six games. Those losses came from Oregon and UCLA. Two teams that they just beat in back-to-back nights giving them the honors of PAC-12 Tournament Champions.

I’ve talked about this team more in-depth and I advise you to peep that here!

As I mentioned, the return of Allonzo Trier has pushed this team to a new level! If I had to pick a team before seeing the bracket, I’d lean on the Wildcats to take home the whole thing right now.

Very impressed with their play right now!

March Madness: Michigan Wolverines

Even if Michigan loses today, their run to make it to the big dance has not gone unnoticed. They’ve beaten Purdue twice in the past few weeks while giving up true size in the contest. They just look hungry as of late.

More from FanSided

After their plan incident John Beilein was quoted saying, “Those 16 guys out of that team, are as connected as any team I’ve had in 42 years.” A scary quote from a coach who’s led this program to a Final-Four.

We’ve seen that this team’s connection is deeper than basketball. Team chemistry can take you a long way when it comes to March Madness. They have experienced leadership from Beilein and we’ve definitely seen crazier teams make a run.

March Madness: Wichita State Shockers

I’ve talked a little bit about the Shockers here, but to recap I stated I wanted to see how well they run the Missouri Valley Tournament and they delivered.

After splitting games with Illinois State in the regular season, I wanted to see who would win on a neutral site. Wichita State, Wichita State, Wichita State. The Shocker didn’t just win, they destroyed the Redbirds by twenty.

Gregg Marshall knows all about March Madness. He’s led the Shocker to the NCAA Tournament six straight seasons and hasn’t been bounced in the round of 64 since 2012. His leadership has been a driving factor in how well the Shockers perform every season, and an experienced coach is a huge plus in the craziness that is sure to ensue.

This team is one to watch when the bracket comes out!
