5. Quincy Acy — Brooklyn Nets
Quincy Acy is in the midst of his fifth season in the league. This year, Acy is with the Brooklyn Nets and he has proven to be a valuable asset on a bad team. Acy has bounced around the league quite a bit, but he may have found a home in Brooklyn. Even though he is not the most attractive signing for the Nets this season, he is definitely been a welcome addition.
After playing in six games for the Dallas Mavericks at the beginning of the season, Acy inked his first 10-day deal with the Nets on Jan. 10 and once that expired he signed another on Jan .20. Then it came time for the Nets to make a decision on whether they wanted to retain the big man for the rest of the season or longer. The Nets decided that they wanted Acy to stick around a tad bit longer than the rest of the season and signed him to a two-year $3.5 million dollar deal that keeps him in Brooklyn for the near future.
In his time in Brooklyn, Acy has put up a career best in points per game. He is averaging 7.3 points and 2.8 rebounds per game. His energy, experience and physicality have helped Brooklyn stay as competitive as possible.
