4. Lance Stephenson
Lance Stephenson’s stock as a legitimate NBA wing has fallen since his glory days back in 2013 with the championship caliber Indiana Pacers. He has not been able to regain his footing and has been on an unstoppable landslide since he left Indiana.
Stephenson started this season for the Pelicans, but he was ultimately cut after appearing in six games with the club and averaging 27 minutes per game. When he suffered a hamstring injury it was easy for the Pelicans to release him.
After getting healthy, Stephenson signed his first 10-day contract with the Wolves on Feb. 8. Near the end of those 10 days, Stephenson suffered an ankle injury. That was not appealing to the Timberwolves, who were looking for a reliable replacement at shooting guard with Zach LaVine out for the remainder of the season. The Timberwolves let Stephenson walk but re-signed him on March 8 when his ankle was healthy.
Stephenson has appeared in 5 games with the Wolves and is averaging 13 minutes per game. Stephenson has been mildly productive with his minutes, as he has averaged 4.2 points along with two rebounds and one assist.
