2. Jordan Crawford

Crawford was selected in the 2010 NBA draft, and made his NBA debut in an Atlanta Hawks uniform. That was short-lived, as he played a total of 16 games for the Hawks. He then bounced around the league. He spent time with the Washington Wizards, Boston Celtics, and Golden State Warriors. After his fourth season in the league, Crawford couldn’t find an NBA home and spent time in the Chinese Basketball Association. This year he began a concerted NBA comeback attempt, landing with the Grand Rapids Drive, the Detroit Pistons D-League affiliate. He made a statement while on the team, averaging 23.5 points, 3.5 assists, and 3.3 rebounds per game.

Crawford impressed the New Orleans Pelicans, who had lost one of their best shooters on the team, Buddy Hield, in a trade that sent him to Sacramento in exchange for DeMarcus Cousins. Crawford was brought on to the squad to make an impact by shooting the basketball.Crawford has definitely made his impact on the Pelicans. His true shooting percentage is currently .686, which is insanely high for a volume scorer. Even though he has only played in three games, Crawford has given Pelicans fans even more hope for the future.

Crawford’s numbers are likely to dip after he settles into his new role with the Pelicans, but if he can really live up to his potential on the Pelicans, he has a bright future in the league.
