4. WR Anquan Boldin

After some doubt if he would continue to play, Boldin reportedly wants to return for a 15th NFL season and he can now be added to the list of players on the market.. On the heels of a productive seasons for the Detroit Lions, with 67 catches for 584 yards and a team-high eight touchdowns, the 36-year old should have a few suitors now that the higher profile free agent wide receivers have found new teams.

For what it’s worth, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press has suggested Boldin may want to play this season near his offseason home in Florida. That would obviously put the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Jacksonville Jaguars at or near the top of his preferred destinations, possibly along with the Atlanta Falcons or the New Orleans Saints based on relative geographic proximity.

Boldin would do well not to narrow his market based on wanting to play in or near Florida, assuming that speculation holds any water. He may actually fit very nicely as a No. 3 receiver in Tampa Bay, but most any other team looking to fill a void at wide receiver would take Boldin far way from home. If he does not waiver from his desire to play and finds a role that suits him, Boldin should continue to be productive in what could be his final NFL season.
