Manchester City: Leroy Sane

Perhaps the most well known player on the list, Leroy Sane is a superstar in the making. Already getting consistent starting minutes for Pep Guardiola, Sane is on his way to becoming one of the best wingers in the Premier League, if not the world.

The German international signed for City in Guardiola’s first transfer window as Manchester City manager. He made a name for himself at Schalke 04, scoring 11 goals in 47 appearances. The winger is an explosive attacking player equipped with a knack for sending rocket balls across the face of goal once he beats the full-back down the wing.

As a City player, Sane has only continued his rapid development. He already looks under more control in tight situations than he did at first in the Premier League. One of his flaws was that once he got within the final 20 or so yards of goal he would often lose control, taking one or two bad touches near the box. Recently he’s been focusing more on fizzing balls into the box for the striker to pounce on. Sane has also excelled at putting himself in good positional situations for rebounds. He’s certainly one of the most exciting players in the Premier League already, and at 21 he has room to get even better.
