Stoke: Ramadan Sobhi

Ramadan Sobhi is a talented winger Stoke bought from Egyptian club Al Ahly SC in July 2016. The 20-year-old has been a fascinating player to watch at Stoke. Despite only 11 appearances for Stoke, he’s already caught the eye with his pace and dribbling ability.

The Egyptian made a career with Al Ahly SC as an exciting winger with pace and skill. As the club’s key player Sobhi was played a big role in their success, though he did occasionally let his youthful exuberance go too far. Twice in key games for Al Ahly SC, he showboated by standing on the ball in key situations. The move has received criticism, but it’s a part of Sobhi’s game.

As he progresses and becomes more comfortable at Stoke his skill and personality on the ball will shine. He’s an interesting fit with the Potters. They’ve got a lot of talented attackers in their team, but Marko Arnautovic is the only to have really shown his quality on a consistent basis. Sobhi could be a nice fit on the opposite wing to Arnautovic if he continues to progress.
