Burnley: Daniel Agyei

An adaptable goal scoring threat, Daniel Agyei is a finesse forward with the ability to play out wide. Scoring 29 goals for AFC Wimbledon’s under-21 team in the 2014-15 season immediately put him on the radar of Premier League clubs. Burnley eventually signed the Englishman and loaned him out to Coventry City where he scored five goals in 19 appearances. He returned to Burnley in January 2017 and now looks to be in prime position to get playing time.

As a left-footed player Agyei has made a young career out of combining power with his pace. A swift finishing ability combined with his stature has made the young player a goal scoring threat all around the box.

Agyei already knows where he needs to improve, as he told the Lancashire Telegraph: “From Barnesy and Vokesy it’s been the hold-up play. They can put the ball up into Barnesy and he can just hold onto it and get a foul and I’m trying to learn from that.”

If Agyei can improve that part of his game, he has the potential to be a really special player. He already has the natural goal scoring talent. The technical ability just needs to come alongside of that natural talent and Burnley will have a threat up top for years to come, until a bigger club snatches him away.
