High Value PG

J.J. Barea – Dallas Mavericks ($4100): Barea played 27 minutes against Brooklyn in his last game, the most he’s played since returning from injury. He posted 35.25 FP in that game, and tonight gets a shot at the Warriors, who were in action last night. I’ve said for a while in these pieces that it was just a matter of time until Barea starts eating into Yogi Ferrell’s minutes, and that’s what happened last game.

Tyler Johnson – Miami Heat ($5600): With Dion Waiters still sidelined with his injury, Johnson will continue to see 25 or more minutes, and that can go a long way when you’re up against the Phoenix Suns. Johnson will back up both guard slots and will still see more time than Rodney McGruder or Wayne Ellington. He has a high ceiling and he’s usually right around value. I like him for both GPP and cash games tonight.

Malcolm Brogdon – Milwaukee Bucks ($5000): I like Brogdon tonight even if Giannis takes the floor. He’s logging big minutes as he can play both guard positions and he’s got a sweet matchup against the Blazers tonight. I personally like Tyler and Barea more, maybe even Dinwiddie if Lin is out, but Brogdon is a good bet to hit value tonight.

Spencer Dinwiddie – Brooklyn Nets ($3800): Jeremy Lin is almost certain to be out tonight and that opens the door for another Dinwiddie start. He played great against the tough Mavs defense in his last game with 18 points and seven assists, good for 33.5 FP. If he could hit that total again it would be awesome, but even if he just gets you 6x he’s an excellent play. He’s not exactly rock solid though, so buyer beware. He is strictly a GPP play.
