High Value SG

Denzel Valentine – Chicago Bulls ($4500): Well at least something good has come out of this Bulls season. Valentine is looking like an excellent pick since he’s been given a lot of floor time. The trade of Doug McDermott and Dwyane Wade’s injury have let Valentine approach starter minutes and he’s played no less than 28 in each of his last four games. He’s coming off a brilliant 11/12/4 effort against Utah that was good for 37 FP. That might be a big ask tonight, but hitting value seems reasonable and he can also be played at small forward.

Malcolm Brogdon – Milwaukee Bucks ($5000): As I mentioned in the point guard section, I like Brogdon tonight even if Giannis plays, but especially if he doesn’t. He’s logging big minutes as he can play both guard positions and he’s got a solid matchup against Portland tonight. Brogdon is a good bet to hit value tonight and if Giannis is out he’ll be counted on to score the ball more.

Spencer Dinwiddie – Brooklyn Nets ($3800): It looks as if Jeremy Lin will not play tonight and that opens the door for another Dinwiddie start. He played great against the tough Dallas defense in his last game with 18 points and 7 assists, good for a total of 33.5 FP. I wouldn’t count on him going that high again tonight, but even if he just gets you 6x he’s an excellent play. However, he is strictly a GPP play.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope – Detroit Pistons ($5600): Could KCP be back? He posted a 40.75 FP effort in his last game. That was against Phoenix but tonight he gets a similar marchup in the woeful Brooklyn Nets. KCP went for 34.25 against them earlier in the season and while his home/road splits are gross, the matchup will make me look past those tonight.
