Gareon Conley

CB, Ohio State

The Seattle Seahawks made it back to the playoffs in 2016, though they saw their dreams of a third Super Bowl in four years end in the Divisional Round. Quarterback Russell Wilson had another terrific season under center, and wide receiver Doug Baldwin emerged as a legitimate WR1. This offseason, the Seahawks have added running back Eddie Lacy to the fold, giving them three decent players in the backfield.

Last season, the Seahawks looked lost against the pass in their playoff loss to the Packers, though for good reason. Earl Thomas was not playing due to injury, and cornerback Richard Sherman was battling an MCL injury. Still, the Seahawks showed they need to add quality depth to their Legion of Boom defense, and Gareon Conley would be a nice player to plug in alongside Sherman in the secondary.

The Seahawks are reportedly open to trading Sherman, which would be a bad idea at this point. Seattle needs to add depth to their secondary, not trade away someone who is a premier player at the cornerback position when healthy. Expect the Seahawks to draft a corner in April, and if Conley is still on the board, they should seriously give him a long look.
