Malik Hooker

S, Ohio State

For the first time in over 50 years, the Chargers will represent a city other than San Diego. The Bolts made the move to Los Angeles this offseason, and will head to LaLa Land with a pretty solid roster in place. Los Angeles was a hard-luck loser far too often in 2016, but with a new head coach in place, the tides could be changing for the Chargers as they make the move to Los Angeles.

Quarterback Philip Rivers is still one of the best in the game, and is coming off a Pro Bowl season in 2016. The Chargers made the move to bring in Russell Okung to protect him in 2017, as he has had to run for his life over the past few seasons. On defense, the Chargers secondary has long been an issue, especially at safety, and that is where they should look to draft in April.

Los Angeles has already signed Jahleel Addae this offseason, but that does not mean they should pass up on a player like Malik Hooker. Some believe Hooker is the most talented player in this draft, though he is going to need some time to get back on the field. Hooker is out 4-to-6 months after having surgery on a torn labrum and hernia, but there is no doubt he will be back at 100 percent by the time the Chargers head to camp this summer.
