2. North Carolina Tar Heels

Maybe it’s Roy Williams, or maybe it’s Michael Jordan inadvertently creating the best new slogan of all time, but there’s something about this North Carolina team. Flushed with talent across the board, the Tar Heels are a legit contender to win the NCAA championship this year.

After getting within a buzzer beater of winning the entire thing last year, this group appears to be more determined than ever to bring it home. They haven’t let heartbreak get in the way of their ambitions.

Ultimately, it’s always one of the best stories told in sports in history. The team that falls short coming back to win it all the next year. If North Carolina were to win it all this season, that’s going to be a story told for a long time.

There’s plenty of personalities on this roster that make it all the worthwhile to tell. Even Jordan’s slogan gives a catchy title to use on everything relating to the 2017 Tar Heels in the future. The championship teams tend to have that slogan that follows them around and for the Tar Heels, the ceiling is indeed the roof.
