4. The media was against UCLA all along

As Ball uses his media tour to raise his own profile there is a growing resentment towards him. Accusations of exploiting his kids to increase attention to himself and his brand are not uncommon and his shots at current NBA players haven’t made him very many friends. He publicly feuded with Stephen A. Smith recently on an episode of First Take. The “Big Baller” brand is starting to take some hits that might be causing some strain on LaVar Ball. If UCLA loses to Kentucky tonight some of that frustration might boil over into the public.

When that frustration boils over it’ll be open season on nobody actually at fault, but he’ll make sure to blame them for his problems anyways. The media will clearly have been against the Ball family all along despite their willingness to raise his profile and give him a platform to speak way too much on. That won’t stop him from saying the negativity reached him and by proxy it reached UCLA. Everybody was cheering for UCLA to fail and now that they have it will be open season on the Ball family.

Of course, none of this is actually true but it’s easy to blame the media and the “pressure” they created on his family for why UCLA just couldn’t pull out a victory over Kentucky. It will be petty. It will be ridiculous. He’ll probably go on multiple TV shows afterwards to get his point across. It will be so very LaVar Ball.
