Jamaal Williams

Runningback, BYU

With some major instant fixes on the defensive side of the ball early, the Raiders now find a potential impact player on offense in the fourth round. Williams is a great fit and would be a steal in at pick 100.

Williams is a classic downhill runner. He runs angry and hits holes with force and power. However, he also has a finesse game and can tip toe through tight holes, and shake defenders in open space.

Williams will fall in the draft because BYU did not use him much in the passing game, and he was suspended for one season and left the team for a small period of time. As for the off-field questions, they seem to be mostly due to conduct issues with the university, and more of maturity issues than personality red flags.

On the field, he can be used in the same role as Latavius Murray last season, who was not used too often in the passing game. Jalen Richard should provide a spark in his second season and he will not be needed in that area, but at the same time could be taught in that area.

The Raiders have talked about Marshawn Lynch and Adrian Peterson, but a great, young and cheap fit could be found in the fourth round with Jamaal Williams.
